Institutional Transfer-Preparation Packet

PURPOSE
This packet lets a library, museum, archive or memorial institution review the public collection structure before a bounded conversation about preservation, loan, deposit, succession or digital access.

THIS PACKET IS NOT
It is not a deed of gift, accession, deposit request, loan agreement, transfer of custody, license, appraisal, commitment to accept material or claim of partnership. No institution is represented as having reviewed or accepted it.

CONTENTS
- collection-summary.json: dated scope and boundary statement.
- public-catalog.json: 353 public object records from the same registry as the Complete Catalog.
- public-catalog.csv: the same records in UTF-8 CSV with a byte-order mark for spreadsheet compatibility.
- Reichenbach-Family-Archive-Public-Catalog-2026-09-02.xlsx: formatted dated snapshot.
- field-crosswalk.csv: plain-language mapping from public fields to transfer-review questions.
- rights-and-custody-matrix.csv: categories to resolve before any agreement.
- TRANSFER-QUESTIONS.txt: due-diligence questions for a first conversation.
- MANIFEST.sha256: SHA-256 checksums for every other file in this folder.

EXCLUSIONS
This packet contains no preservation master, private evidence, credential, recovery secret, current private address, restricted personal file or unpublished restitution record. Public access images remain subject to their item-level source, credit and rights notes.

AUTHORITY
The public catalog is an access and discovery layer. Physical originals, canonical preservation files, accession records and research governance remain with their stated holders unless a future written agreement says otherwise.
